Leading schools to improvement, raising standards and creating effective communities

Report from the ACT and National College for Leadership of Schools, Colleges and Children's Services seminar, October 22nd 2009

On October 22nd the Association for Citizenship Teaching together with National College for Leadership of Schools, Colleges and Children's Services held an event for leading headteachers from secondary and primary schools where Citizenship education is central to their success and aspiration. The event was funded by the DCSF as part of the Crick Plus Ten Project and built directly upon the joint QCDA and Ofsted Citizenship education seminar for head teachers that was held at the National College in May 2007. The seminar considered how Citizenship education relates to school standards, achievement, improving schools and developing cohesive communities.
